Ok, I am no Oprah and I don't have any new cars to give away, but I have been asked numerous times about special decorating tips and tricks or favorite recipes. So I have decided to start a daily post here, each day about something that I LOVE to use when I decorate cookies. Or something that I have learned over the last few years, that I cannot live without! They may or may not be MY ideas, but I am trying to compile them in one place for you. I will also give credit where credit is due, so if I forgot someone, please feel free to let me know, nicely of course. Or else, I will sick my friends on yah! ;)
I hope you enjoy and maybe learn something. I know most will be, "Oh I already knew that," but then count yourself ahead of the game. LOL!
FOX RUN DOUBLE SIDED CRINKLED COOKIE CUTTER SET- 7 PIECE:
Ok, I am in LOVE with these cutters. I use them for numerous cookies! They have a flat side and a crinkled side (hence the title). The largest is pretty large, for me, about 4 inches.
Here they are in all their glory! I use them so much they are rarely put away. They store perfecting in a plastic nesting box. Ready to pull out an any moment. Thank you so much to Anita from Sweet Hope Cookies for recommending these to me!!
Pros: Good plastic. Dishwasher safe. Sturdy enough that when you are cutting circles, they don't turn into ovals. Love the fluted/crinkle sides. The best thing about the crinkles is that there are an even number!! Anyone who had done dots around a cookie will know how important that is for an OCD Decorator! Must have an even number of dots and spacing.
Cons: Measurements on the sides eventually washes off. So I labeled them in numbers on the sides for my own benefit. It helps to remember which size I used at any particular time.
Here are some examples. As you can see, I use them a lot!!!
Stay tuned for more favorite things! I am hoping to get this out in enough time for you all to have your wish lists full soon! You can find these cutters and much more in my Amazon Shop or click the link above to the right.
Have a great day and see you tomorrow!
